HI all just found this site and am from Pocatello

HI all just got my surgery date with Dr. Baird in Idaho Falls, Idaho and am SSSOOO nervous, excited, HUNGRY!!! Started my two week pre op diet today.. hope to get to know some of you all!

Hi Deanna, I am also having lap band done 17th Tuesday in Boise. Where are you at ? I am scared but excited. I am confused about the first three weeks with liquid. I wish they had a book on ideas or something spelled out . I know broth,jello,protein drinks. I guess I am nervous. I had to pay surgey , my insurance won't pay. Let me know when yours is would be nice to know someone else is out there. I haven't found to many lap bands and I am wondering why? Maybe I haven't been patient enough. Lori

HI Lori!! I am in Pocatello! I also am paying for the surgery which is Thursday the 19th. I am on a two week pre op diet of 9-11 oz of protein (chicken, fish, egg whites, ff cottage cheese) 2 servings of fruit and 2 or more servings of low carb veggies a day. I usual am on Lapbandtalk.com. THere is TONS of information on there about what to eat and what to expect!! On that site that is all there is is lap band patients. I am nervous too! Hi there, I am in Rupert, which is about half way between Pocatello and Twin Falls. I have an online group and there are many members that have had the Lap Band, and they are all doing wonderfully. Hello, I had RNY in Idaho Falls with Dr. Podany. Pocatello does not have much of a support group and I am seeking one. I can't afford to drive out to Idaho Falls all the time and as you know eather can get bad on that road. This last winter I slid off the road doing 360's behind a semi (All is well) but it scared me. If you need a walking buddy... I go to Fitness Inc in Pocatello also. Let me know.
