I need advise surgery
Hi this is my first time posting a message. I have had a hard time loosing my 10% weight before surgery. I remember this at orientation but didn't do the math. I have my appt. to see my surgeon on 16th to schedule surgery. I am 52 & have been trying to loose weight for 34 of 35 years I have been married. I was healthy & weighed 105#
& even worked in a health club showing people how to exercise & loose weight. (Funny huh) Well I was never going to be like them. Well never say never. I have 134# to loose. I already have two new knees ,I don't want the hips so I needed to do something. I need some advise & maybe high five that this is a go thing to do. Tell me everything I need to know. Dr, anderson is going to be my surgeon does anyone have him out there.?
thanks
Lori
Hi lori
im thinking about you I read your March 30th entry and you sounded kind of worried. I take it your doing the bypass and not the lap band? I to am just in the waiting line just attended my first simenar on the 27th and got my paper work faxed to dr pennings today. I am hopeing for the lapband. Do you know if the lapbander have to loose ten percent of their weight also? I have had such an awfull time since I had my hysterectomy 3 years ago. I just cant seam to take it off the way I used to.
I will say a big prayer for you and im thinking they have this surgery figured out and yes in my opinion there cant be much worse than trying to be normal and fit in and have the energy to live how you would like to be liveing, when you have no energy and your joints always hurt your clothes wont fit and the ones that do look like your wearing a tent, when you dont want to go any where because you feel like every one is noticeing how fat you are you are panting and sweating bla bla bla .... Its a chance to change and prolong your life God bless you you go girl let me know how you are doing
