I don't know where to start?

I am a mom desperately trying to help my daughter. She has no medical insurance, and although I am willing to pay for a trip to Mexico, I'm not sure that is the best way to go. Can anyone help me with purchasing insurance for her that will help pay for the surgery in a reasonable time, or make suggestions on a surgeon in Mexico. Oh, she is 26, not a child girl. My surgeon was Dr. Oakley and his assistant Jenifer is very helpful. You might try calling the doctors' offices and find out which insurance companies have been the easiest to deal with then try to get individual coverage thru them. Keep in mind that most not only have a waiting period but also require that she be on doctor-monitored diet plan. She could be on the doctor-monitored diet plan during the waiting period. Also keep in mind that some insurance companies can take a long time to finally approve surgery and some goes thru in a snap. If you decide to go the Mexico-route, many have done that with great success. Just be sure to research the doctors and go to a reputable place. There is a Mexico-forum on here that you could ask others who've been there, done that. Hope this helps, Linda
