The supplements went down like a charm. No problems at all with any of them, but then most are small and the other ones are chewable so easy to get down. That "handy dandy'" four compartment pill box sure did come in handy so I didn't forget to take them. :-)
So far so good at eight days post-surgery and just thought I'd post and let you all know I continue to do well. It is just amazing how good I feel after having this surgery! Just unbelievable!
Thank you all for being here for me and keep posting your thoughts and concerns on here. I love hearing from everyone!

Cheryl,
I bought Gold Standard 100% Whey from JesupGym.com.. It is delicious, both the chocolate and the vanilla,, I started with a 1# bag for $10.99 and the 5# bag is around $25, which I will get next time,, it has 24 grams of protein per serving,,
I saw the website of JesupGym.com and since we are only about 20 miles from Jesup, I went to see what they had,, I know Dr.Glas**** in Cedar Falls mentioned this 100% Gold Standard Whey,as one they recommended, I purchased 2 --1# packages to try,, one was French Vanilla Creme and one was Extreme Milk Chocolate,, and they are delicious,, The 1# bags were $10.99 a piece, and you get 14 servings in each one,, I looked on the web site and it said that a 5# can was something around $25.00, which will be a big savings when I go back, They are both delicious,, the best I've tried,, Using milk, plus non fat dry milk I make a shake for 40 grams of protein,, I sometimes add ice to make a thick shake,,
Before surgery I sent for some products from UNJURY and they have a chicken soup flavored one plus others,, I liked them until I tried the Gold Standard,,
I dont know what shipping is but it might be worth it to try,, and you might contact them to see if they would send you samples,,
Good Luck, Bonnie
Wow!! 3 weeks post-op already. That time flew by, I think but maybe it's because it wasn't me that it was flying by for. It's been a week today for me and I can hardly believe it's only been that long because I feel so terrific.
I know you are getting tired of the food but just think about the fact that in less than ten days you'll be eating other things again. Give your body time to heal because remember what they say, it takes a full six weeks to heal from a surgery and in some cases longer. We've had major surgery and it's going to take time for your inside to heal and get ready for "real food". I do understand how you're feeling though, because I'm going to be moving to the foods you're eating tomorow and I'm excited about that. I'm needing something besides broth and milk right now.
Glad you get to go see your family and spend time with them. I know that you'll enjoy your time with them. Be careful and make sure you take some walk breaks while you're traveling.
Keep posting and keep in touch.

I have been looking around the internet and at GNC etc for protein drinks. I know that Walmart has the WHEY which I plan on buying but kind of wanted to try some others so I don't get bored with the same old thing. What I really want to do is find somewhere that sells single servings so I can try different flavors/brands rather than buy a big case or jar only to find I can't stand it.
Any help would be appriciated.
thanks

Hey all! I cant believe that its been 3 weeks today since my surgery!! Its absolutely crazy!! Im feeling wonderful and as if nothing ever happened. I can take bigger sips/drinks than before and Im not as tired after work!! Going to Kansas this weekend to visit my family, im so excited, I cant wait!! :)
With all that said, Im feeling very overwhelmed with everything in my life right now. Im finding that I use waaay more dishes/cups these days which means im having a hard time keeping up with my dishes. Im taking a class online and trying to keep up with that along with my full time job and 3 kids and a husband that is a truck driver. Somedays I feel like im running circles and getting nothing done!! I was able to get the kids to clean their rooms really good tonight and the living room, so that helps!! Sorry to vent, im just feeling so overwhelmed, and ready to move onto the next phase of the diet...this whole pudding, yogurt, soup thing is really getting old...i need something new and more fun!! :)
Thanks for listening to me ramble!
