I am doing ok, I am working on a few things that the psych wanted me to work on pre op. I am also kind of in a holding pattern right now because I have a tumor on my ovary I need to get taken care of first... I had a car breakdown on friday and missed my appointment with Dr J. I didnt have the phone number to call them I am hoping that didnt screw my chances up.. wont know till I call them monday. I didnt get home till after 5 .. ugh! Anyway that is whats going on with me... say a prayer for me, Im really worried about the tumor thing.

Alright, lets back up, Debi did not tell I can't come to the meetings. 
All she asked was that if I wanted to share food ideas in the future, to clear it with her to prevent this from happening again. 
I'm choosing not to go right now, because I know I will say some snarky things in the meeting to this person. 
I shouldn't have to be condemned because this person doesn't know the difference between having 2 cookies(like we can) and eating a whole bag(like she will).  This person has food addiction problems, which is why she hasn't been approved yet, and hopefully the group can help her overcome those issues. 
I will return to the meetings again, but for now, I'm letting things simmer off!

Michelle, I don't agree with Debi.  We ALL need the group and it is for everyone.  I think you should go if you choose to.  As a matter of fact, I hope you do go because that group needs you.  If someone got upset because you shared at the group, that's that person's issue and not yours.  I seriously cannot believe Debi told you not to go there for awhile.  Wrong, wrong, wrong and shame on Debi!!!!!

That is exciting news to have completed your consult.      Seems to me the time between making the decision and surgery went pretty quickly - perhaps because there were so many appointmenst to keep and so much paper work to fill out.

Enjoy the adventure and focus on becoming as healthy as possible pre-surgery.  (Why wait!)

I'm taking a break from the UIHC support group for now.  Apparently, the last time I was there, I shared a recipe for Eggface's Protein Dounuts, and one of the members got very upset at me and said she wouldn't go to group anymore if I was going to share "treats". 
I've talked to Debi about this, and for now, she needs the group more than me since she's still pre-op, plus I still have the other group here in CR.  You guys look like you're doing great!
