If you like thinner shakes Isopure mixes thin and is good hot or cold so you can use it in coffee or in a shake.  I think GNC.com sells a sample pack of flavors.  I also know they come in premixed bottles if you get the ready to drink shakes.

Topic: Anyone have surgery at mercy in Mason City?
I'm new here and am seriously looking into the Lap Band. I've actually been "looking into" it for a couple years but now I'm truly ready. Does anyone have any experience with the newer bariatric center at Mercy Hospital in Mason City? I just went to the seminar and I think going there would be best for me distance wise for follow up care.

Anyone have any experience with this center and if not where in Iowa did you get banded?

Updated my blog- this has been a crazy year. I don't see much difference in my face from my last photo. I can see a collar bone if the light is right and I squint really hard.

Topic: Tomorrow's THE Day!

I have 12 1/2 hours to go until my RNY. The last month (basically since my surgery was scheduled) I have been a 50/50 blend of excitement and nervousness. Tonight, I just feel excitement to begin a new healthy phase of my life.

Thanks to all the WLS veterans who post about their struggles and accomplishments!

Topic: RE: Chicago - OH event - less than 3 weeks
Hey Jody!

I am officially 15 weeks post surgery (tomorrow) and feeling like I've never had the surgery.  I am with you on the not thinking about it as much as I did pre and in the two months post op.  I am sure as time goes on, it will be less and less in the forefront of my mind.

I am planning to go to the OH event in Chicago and am really looking forward to hearing the speakers and getting some new recipes (hopefully) from the chef and I think most of all, I am looking forward to meeting some of the people who post on here.  I know that Jenn is going too but haven't heard from her in forever so I'll have to figure out a way to connect with her so we can discuss travel plans, etc.  What's your plan for the event and what are you looking forward to the most?  I think the whole event should be a good time.

Like Jody said, who's going and what are you looking forward to the most?  Is anyone doing the clothing exchange?

Carol
