Topic: New Bariatric patient
Hello everyone. My name is sheena and I am kind of in the middle of the Mercy capital program for the gastric bypass surgery. I am both excited and scared but I've been reading all of the posts for a couple of weeks and I can say that this site has been helpful. I have my first nurse visit on 04/04/07. Can anyone tell me what is all involved with this visit?

I am so happy for you Amanda. How is the cpap going anyhow? I know it is tough getting used to. I dont think I can go 30 days straight without taking it off at some point in the night. Let me know how it goes.

Hello everyone
I just wanted to post an update on my situation. It seems that my sleep tech thinks that after one more week with wearing the APAP for five hours a night, that I should be able to be cleared for surgery. That is very good news for me.
As for the board....where is everyone at? It seems that since a lot of the older posters left a lot of the new posters did as well. How about an update from all of you old and new posters alike.

i am a newbie newbie.
Decided on this for me last Thursday. So I am jumping in with both feet.
I am in need of aetna insurance information. I have a headache now with all the computer information I am reading. UGH! I just want to know if I can find a doctor in my PPO Aetna that is local to me in Trinity or Genesis Hospital. Is there anyone else out there that has gone through this that can help me?
