Congrats on 4 years!  I just had my 3 year.  I understand your doubts.  I've had them lately myself wondering if the lap band wouldn't have been a better choice with the issues I'm facing right now.

Today is my 4 year anniversary!!! I can't believe it has been that long since I had my surgery. I was #15 at the Mercy Weight Loss Clinic. I have had struggles along the way that is for sure. Weight gain however I have started back at the basics per drs. order due to my bleeding ulcer and have lost 22 pounds so far. I am so motivated to get back down below 200 pounds. I plan on getting there by Sept. 1st. That is my goal. At some point in the near future I would like to have a TT done to get rid of all of this skin. I know i would be able to fit into at least a size smaller. :) I have had doubts of doing this along the way and with my recent ulcer and iron problems I was wondering what in the world I did. Then I was thinking I should have had the lap band and wouldn't have to deal with the malabsorbtion problem ever and possibly not even the ulcers. Oh well, hind sight is 20/20. I have been very blessed with my son, *****cently turned 2. Without this surgery, I don't know if I would have been able to have him. For that I am so thankful. FINALLY I have a date.  July 20th.  I don't know how I will stand the next month!  Have to keep busy!!!

I went to Dr. Eibes, had my surgery on Jan 8th and have been VERY happy with everything.  It didn't take me long at all to get approved, scheduled, etc.  Also, just a note - the only reason Dr. Eibes's practice isn't a Center of Excellence yet is because they are a fairly new practice and the requirement is to have a certain # of surgeries completed.  Dr. Eibes himself has done enough and when he was with the program in Grinnell he was affiliated with a Center of Excellence.  It probably won't be long until he's done the magic # of surgeries with his current practice and will have that title again.

I M  2 YRS POST WLS.  BY PASS RNY     I WANT TOO LOOSE 50 MORE  POUNDS AND HAVE BEEN STUCK FOR   6 MONTHS.   HELP!!!
