Before I had my surgrey 3+ yrs ago, I briefly looked at the memorial page and decided that only God knew when it was my time to go. I knew that my life would never get better (and probably get worse) if I didn't take the drastic step of having gastric bypass surgery. Dr. G and is staff are very good and have a very thorough program. Put your faith into their (and God's) hands. I can say this is absolutely the best thing I've done for myself. Well let me rephrase that -- since my surgery I also feel that being able to exercise every day (and looking forward to it) is also one of the best things I can do for myself..... I feel like a new person. Keep a positive outlook, but make decisions on how YOU feel and not what others "think" you should do.. Life is good..... better than I ever thought it could be. I'm in the same positon you are, deciding between Mercy and Dr Eibes. I have went to the Mercy meeting and cant get into Dr Eibes meetings until the middle of July. I just want to get the ball rolling also. I hope the approval goes fast but I dont want to rush things either. Its a trying time waiting!!!!
