Thanks!! Actually rec'd the letter today. I'm going to call the surgeon's office tomorrow and see if they have it yet so I can find some things out. Scheduled for Stress test on August 21!

Well I'm glad to hear that Mercy Capitol was good with you! I'm just starting out with this so I'm not sure when the surgery will be, I'm really nervous about the whole "insurance approval" thing. What all did you have to go through with MC.. test wise and all that, did you have a sleep study done? I'm so glad that you replied to my post, it's nice to know of someone who has been through Mercy Capitol before. Thanks so much!  -Katie

YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally called insurance today to see if there was any word. I feel like it was submitted about 2 weeks ago, and I was going to call on Friday, but chickened out. Today was my lucky day! I'm approved for Lap band!! The surgeon's office doesn't have the letter yet. They said the nurse would call me when she got the letter, but I could go ahead and make an appt for cardiac clearance. My PCP is setting that up for me. Yea!!

I'm going to have surgery... hopefully the Lap-RNY. And I'm going through Mercy Capitol. I noticed that the board has been pretty slow lately, so I completely understand  Thanks for your response! -Katie.
