Thanks Mary and congratulations on your weight loss!!! 35 lbs is great!! :)
I had a sleeve done Thanksgiving weekend and I'm doing great. Weight loss has been slow, but I'm happy with that. First few days were really hard, expect that. Then I continued to have lots of acid, so 2 weeks ago I got prescribed a new drug and now I have no problems at all. Dr. Glas**** is very, very good. He is very conservative, so he doesn't make the sleeve as small as some doctors, but that is good. I'm very very happy with him. I can eat 2 eggs for breakfast, a yogurt for snack, lunch is several pieces of lunch meat with swiss cheese, I can eat a grapefruit for a snack. You'll be fine. You couldn't ask for a better doctor!!!!
I've lost about 35 lbs in the last 2 months. The only thin I didn't like is that at 2 weeks you can eat cottage cheese and an egg and they wanted me to puree it. I didn't. I just chewed it to death! I never pureed my food, but ate mostly yogurts and cottage cheese.

I am scheduled for surgery in This February (2013) and am a little nervous. Any advice? :)
2013: 20 Funny New Year's Resolutions
When it comes to New Year's resolutions, our family members and friends can get quite creative and even funny with what they resolve to do in the New Year. Here a few good ones I have heard along the way...Oh, and a few of my own!
1. I resolve to stop procrastinating about procrastinating!
2. I will stop sending Facebook messages and emails to my loved ones when they are in the same room as I am!
3. I will use my treadmill for something other than a place to hang my jacket.
4. I will not sit at the kitchen table in my PJ's all day. Instead, I will move my computer to my bedroom.
5. I vow to never take a laxative and a sleeping pill on the same night!

I am in the process of getting the VSG and would love to talk to someone who has had it done. I just had all my pre-op testing done now just waiting for the next step.
Also, how are you doin now? Are you glad you did it?
Mary
Ask how long the doc has been doing this surgery- where did he train? with whom?
Will he be doing the surgery himself?
Ask how many per day- very important- you don't want a tired surgeon
How many people on his surgical team? Their experience? I got the CV of the anethesiologist also- I think s/he is probably the most important person in the room
How many of his patients have had a complication? needed revision, band removed, infections at port, etc
Who pays for any complication since you are self pay? Does he guarentee his work? For how long?
What happen if you can't find your "sweet spot"? How many fills/unfills are covered? extras cost?
I know i missed your appointment date so I hope you got all your concerns addressed
