Wow! Good luck to you!!!! I am not looking forward to the pre-op diet, that's for sure, but I know it'll be good practice. I'm hoping to have Lapband scheduled for mid-October. Will know in a couple of weeks. :)

Chris is offically a loser!!! Way to go Chris. I just talked to hubby and he said that everything went well. She will be in ICU tonight and moved to a room tomorrow.

Thanks Amy!. Went to weigh at the Dr. today and am down 10 lbs now on this liquid diet. I am encoraged, terified and excited.

Hey everyone, I have a 10, 7 and 1 year old. My biggest problem has been finding family friendly recipes and snack ideas. Topic: Walk From Obesity
For those in the Des Moines and surrounding areas, Saturday September 29, 2007 is the national "Walk From Obesity". It is at Waukee Centennial Park in Waukee, Iowa. Registration is from 8:00am to 9:00am and the walk starts at 9:00.
The 2 mile non-competitive event is a fundraiser to help reduce disability, death and discrimination of people who are obese by educating the public and healthcare professionals about effective treatments.
Registration is $25.00. If you register ahead of time you will recieve a t-shirt and a gift bag full of samples. You can register and get more info at www.walkfromobesity.com. If you can't walk you can also sponser someone.
(If you don't know anyone walking there is always me.)

Hello from Clear Lake, IA, Just wanted to say hello to fellow Iowans. My RNY is scheduled for September 5 in Fort Dodge IA with Dr. VerSteeg. I am on a 600 calorie a day diet now and have 10 more days of hunger pangs to go.
