I really didn't need much while at the hospital--I slept and enjoyed being taken care of for a change! The one thing I was really glad I had when while at home was long-handled tongs. I didn't have to bend to pick stuff up off the floor or get out of the chair to reach stuff. I also was glad to have purchased the DietMinder books to track my compliance and weight loss. That was great. And I was glad I had a food scale (once into the real food stage).
Good luck with the journey!

I am stressing about the same thing. I don't have any medical records about my weight. I always tried to handle it on my own. I'm starting the supervised diet on Friday because with my luck I'm pretty sure that's the road I'm going to have to go down. Plus I'm at the low end of the BMI so I'm certain I'm going to have to do this 6 months.
Lynda,
Long time no see and CONGraTS on your awesome weight loss!!!!! This board seems to be pretty slow these days. There are a few of us "oldies" that post every now then again. I hardly ever get online anymore as my 2 year old keeps me very busy. :) I don't want to miss anything about him growing up.
Keep in touch.

My hemoglobin fell to 6 after my revision. My surgeon gave me a shot of iron and it brought it up right away. They gave a small amount first and then waited a while to see if I would react and then gave me the rest.
