surgery coming up-May8
Hi everyone, well my date is coming up faster than what I thought. I am starting to get alittle scared. I don't know what to get ready for. I also have finals the week before so I am extremley busy. I have not lost any weight and I have to go see the doc on April 17. I think they said I need to lose some before I have surgery. I will, I am doing good on the no pop and eating less. The only thing that I have left to do is get a pap. I will get that done next week. I still need to start drinking the protein shakes, I have a few samples that are nasty!!!!!Well if anyone has any input please let me know. Thanks, Bobbi
I also have surgery on May 8th and you are up on me. I have not given up the pop. That is going to be a big thing for me. I never asked where you are having your surgery. Mine is at Mercy Capitol.
I ordered some protein drinks online and got Unjury. So far none of them have been the greatest, but these I could get down. I hope that I will be able to continue to drink milk after the surgery as they seemed to taste better with the milk.
I have been working on getting this surgery for 2 1/2 years, so it doesn't seem real to me. Have not hit the scared phase yet.
Good luck.
I am having surgery at Genisis East in Davenport. I hope that I can still drink milk too because I drink alot of it. I need to order some protein drinks to start trying them. I go see the doc on Monday but I don't know what they are going to do. This will be the first time I have seen them since I was approved. Well good luck and stay in touch!!!!I will look foward to hearing about your surgery and progress as we go along. I am starting out at 275 # at 5'7". I hope it comes off fast. I need to start drinking more water. Well I better go. Bye
Have you tried Nectar? 90 calories and 23 gm of protein. No carbs. I love the Fuzzy Navel. When I could use Crystal Lite, I mixed it with Sunrise orange. Ummm. But I can't do Nutrasweet. It gives me leg cramps. Just don't buy very much of anything. Your tastes may change after surgery plus, you really can't drink much at first. I am almost 2 yrs out and still have some of the nasty stuff around (Boost and Adventedge), both are gross.
If you can do milk, you can make double milk. One cup skim with 1/3C nonfat dry, and SF Nestle Quick to taste. Once I was off the clear liquids, I lived of of double milk. I still go back to that occassionally when pouchy is grouchy or I'm tired of protein bars.
Good luck and keep us informed!
