Hi everyone I am new to this group

Tammy, I go and have surgery with Dr. Coster on April 5. He is a good dr. and he tells it like it is. Everyone that i have talked to that has had him says good things about him. They also say that if you do what he says then you will get along fine with surgery. Good luck to you.

Hi Tamara, I just had my surgery done on April 3rd and it was preformed by Coster. He is AWESOME! He is so down to earth! My mom went with me. She has always felt guilty, as have I, because I am so overweight. He explained to my mom (and me) that it was not anyone's fault. He said something along the lines of people who are severly overweight have a larger intestine and we absorb more calories than a "normal" person making it hard to stay "skinny." The intestine is where the calories are absorbed. I would not be afraid to ask him anything. He is a great guy! Good luck with your surgery! Tiffany

Thanks for the information Tiffany. Sounds like you must be doing great already. I go this friday for my psych evaluation and Theresa from Dr.Coster's office called today she said it sounds like I got all my ducks in a row and as soon as I seen the doctor they would send in for my approval and then schedule surgery. I have medicade so not sure how much of a road block I will have with them. Good luck Tammy

That's great! I hit a little trouble with my insurance. I fought with them for about a month, but don't give up. Soon or later it seems like they get tired of hearing from you and just approve it . Good luck! Tiffany
