got my date

Mercy Capitol called today and gave me a date of May 8th. I am so happy as I have had my approval from Ins and DR since the end of Jan. I started with Mercy Capitol early July of 2004, so after 3 tries with the ins company in the last year and a half I will be moving to the losing side in May.

Yeah!!! I'm glad to hear they are finally scheduling again. I have my surgeon appt with Dr. Beck on Monday. Sounds like things are finally moving along again.

WOW~you have waited a long time It is a long ride, sometimes (as you know) it can be long and bumpy.....but it is all so worth it in the end! May 8th sounds like a great day to me It gives ya time to get stuff done around the house, but it will fly by!!! Take Care and Congrats! jesi

Congrats Susan. I got my approval from my insurance 2 weeks ago but haven't heard anything from Mercy Capitol yet on scheduling. Glad to hear someone is. Susan told me there were about 24 people waiting to be scheduled and the docs were only doing 3 elective surgeries per week... Good luck and keep posting on how things go. I have Dr Beck. No special reason other than her name is Susan, maybe aiming at a little good luck. I have heard that they are all great. I have talked to several people that have other internal operations from both Dr. Beak and Dr Smolik and they could not say enough nice things about them. I thought several time during the wait maybe I should try another center,but I have had such good vibs from those that I have dealt with there and those that I have met that had surgery there that I decided to wait the time out. Good luck to you, hope that you have a date soon also. The Dr should have a lot of practice with the operation if they have 24 backed up.
