Ok, it's officially been one month and I haven't lost a single pound. For weeks my weight was exactly to the ounce 217.6 then one day it changed to 218.6 and now it won't move again. I want to believe that this is all muscle weight since I've been working at Walmart (opening a new store) and I've been working soooooooooo hard. One day I walked 11 3/4 miles in one day just in the 9 hours I was at work. On top of that, I am pushing and pulling pallet jacks with 1000 lb loads on them from one end of the store to another, lifting hundreds of heavy boxes etc. Last night hubby and I went dancing and danced 3 hours straight (not sure where I found that energy at). I am eating well. Sample of my daily menu: Breakfast 12 oz Carb countdown chocolate milk with 1 scoop of protein powder (32 grams of protein) 12 oz green tea sweetened with Splenda Lunch 1 cup of fresh spinach with 3 oz chicken, a little tomato and cheese and fat free dressing 6 oz of lite V-8 Splash fruit juice 12 oz tea sweetened with Splenda Supper 2-3 oz beef jerky low fat mozz. cheese stick 32 oz tea with Splenda I try to make at least half of my tea be decaffeinated and I drink water at work from the fountain when I get a chance. I don't eat many carbs at all...sometimes a low carb flour tortilla or a few tortilla chips or pretzels. I've stayed completely away from sugary stuff even though there are bags and packages of junk food on the tables at work every day. Yikes! you'd think they would want to promote good health in their employees. So why aren't I losing weight? It's driving me crazy already. Leslie

Leslie, you're doing everything perfect so don't change a thing! You're body will (from time to time) take a break by reaching platues but the loss definately will start again. Don't worry. You'll get there.

I had to respond to your post because the same thing happened to me. I went almost 4 weeks with out losing any weight I would go up 1 and then back to were I was for almost a month. Well this week I lost 6 lbs!!! Not sure how I didn't do anything different but it just came off. So don't get discouraged the weight will start coming off again!! Keep up the good work. You are right you are definately building muscle. And it weighs more than fat. So that is part of it. But this happens so often that you don't loose pounds, but maybe you are loosing inches. Stay off the scales for a few days and don't worry about it. It sounds like you are doing everything right, except getting enough water but if you feel good and are getting the protein and vits. in I would say not to worry to much. You will see a big loss here one of these days. Good luck and keep it up. Cindy G.

Hey...nice to see ya on here I bet your feeling great huh.....working all day and dancing the night away.....whatta change huh.....thats accomplishment enough It is way normal for our bodies to stall out from time to time.....a platuea is nothing lost (weight nor inches) in 6 WHOLE WEEKS.....so I know it sucks, but it is bound to break, especially if your doing everything right. Your daily menu sounds great, wanna do mine The only thing I see that could possibly help is more fluids (and I think most are guilty of that) but it will help. Adding up your non-caloric beverages, your only at 54oz of fluid......maybe throwing in some more tea or some water might help Worth a shot anyways! Take Care and wishing you continued success!!! jesi

Hi Jesi !! Thanks for responding and yes, it's been a bit frustrating especially when all these people at work (those who didn't have surgery and are partaking of all the fattening goodies) are talking about how much weight they have lost since working at the new store. ARgggg!! I'm still holding steady at my one pound lost as of this morning ...guess it's something. You know, many days I drink as much as 64 ounces of tea plus whatever juice and water and of course my daily protein shake but since it isn't always decaffeinated, I don't count all of it. Hot tea just seems to go down so easily and I can drink it fast and I absolutely love Vanilla Caramel tea but I know we aren't supposed to drink a lot of caffeinated drinks. I haven't done my measurements in awhile so maybe I need to do that and see if I've lost inches, huh? I am wearing size 16 pants and XL shirts so I shouldn't complain. Now I just need to stop buying clothes... I better get to work...take care everyone!!! Leslie

A friend of mine just went through this, her surgery was in August. WELCOME TO PLATEAU HELL! You MUST drink more water. grabbing from the drinking fountain every now and then doesn't do it. And Tea, decaf or not, is a natural diuretic. My friend broke her 6-week plateau by pushing protein over 70 grams, and water over 100 oz. Good luck - you'll do it!!! - jane
