Ok, Cheryl made it successfully through her liquid diet & this morning had her surgery. I stopped & visited with her Mom during surgery & while there she was called back to talk with the surgeon so Cheryl was done. I haven't heard how she was doing but I did see Dr G a few minutes after he got done with Cheryl's Mom & he didn't look worried so I suspect she is doing fine. Would you like to send her a surprise? Please go to Covenant's website at http://www.covhealth.com and click on "E-Mail a patient" up near the top. You can send her a note to cangratulate her or support her, or whatever. You will need this information- First Name- Cheryl Last Name- Rogers Location of Patient- Sartori. The e-mail will be delivered to her by a volunteer. Please send it tonight or tomorrow. She will probably leave the hospital on Thursday & they just throw away any e-mail that come after they leave. Thanks, she'll be so surprised & thrilled that we are thinking of her. Dixie

Hi all ... Yes, tis true -- I'm done with surgery and they say I'm doing fine. More sore wed than Tues -- and doc didn't make rounds till 8 pmn wed, so i was npo till almost 9 pm. Who knoew that 20-3- mL of water could taste so good! Nurses have been in for meds, etc... off and on all night -- at my 4 am wakeup, I took a stroll around the floor -- feeling much stronger. Thought I'd catch up a few emails, etc... Still hope to leave the hosp today (Thursday) -- if things go as planned. Will be in touch -- thanks much for all the support! My motto for the past couple weeks has been (and continues to be), I CAN DO THIS!
