Shopping WOW moment

My jeans are too big. I have a pair of the next size below and they seem too tight. So off I went to Younkers since they were having a sale (when aren't they) and I had a 20% off coupon. Looked at jeans. I'm pretty short between my hips and waist so I picked up a pair of Jones of NY size 10 that sit lower on the waist, slim hips and thighs. I'm thinking they will never fit. Well, they didn't! They were too big! I went and got an 8 and they fit! I don't think I've ever been an eight. Maybe when I was about 9 yrs old?? Also replaced my 26 yr old swimsuit. And if I do say so myself, I look pretty danged good for being almost 54 and obese most of my life. Went to see my PCP since I fired my internist. Hadn't seen him since I began the WL journey. His nurse was just amazed. She kept saying "wow" "wow!" He came in and said he wouldn't have recognized me. After we were all done, he stuck his head back in and told me again how great I looked and did I get tired of hearing that? Heck no, I'm a woman! It was a good day. Had a dentist appt too and no work needed. I hate going to the dentist. Lyn 262/147/142 PS Fred is filling up a little bit but I think I can wait until next week.

Congratulations, Lyn, That must feel really good to be that small. I, too, don't remember ever being a size 8. I don't think I'll ever get there & to be honest, I think I would be too thin at that size but it would be nice to see if that were the case. Right now I'd like my 12s to be looser and I never expected to see that size ever agin. I have a similar experience everytime I see my PCP. He has treated me since he started practicng probably more than 25 years ago. He has seenme gradually get bigger, I was his first patient to have WLS & he supported me fully in mychoice to have it. Everytime I go in her comments on the difference. Last time he asked about my plastic surgeries & asked to see my tummy. He was very impressed. I drew the line though at showing him my backside. LOL Keep having those Wow moments. Dixie

Great News Your one skinny chick I tell ya I still wear 10's fulltime. I do like the Jones jeans, I am too way short between waist and legs.....another great brand to try on is their Relativity......I them, they fit us short chicks good My fave ones now I think I am gonna have to get rid of, the are 12P and they are just way to big, but I them! You gals are sucn an inspiration -- talking about sizes like 8 - 10 - 12 -- makes me wonder if that will happen for me too? I'm really doing this for the health reasons -- but gosh -- if I can be thin and beautiful too -- what a bonus Started my 2-week clear liquid diet today -- this will be a challenge to balance my glucose, etc.... but as I have said many times recently, "I CAN DO THIS" (gotta keep convincing myself LOL) Hoping my "amazing journey" is as remarkable as all of yours!
