Hello all, Well, had the endoscopy and everything looked just right!!! Nice and pink and all the right size and shape. So why am I bleeding (or did I bleed, as I haven't bleed again yet)? Well, we don't know, but I do have diverticulosis and that is a strong possibility. However, to be sure that there is not anything going on in the 20 foot of small intestine that can't be scoped (from either direction), I get to swallow a pill with a camera in it!! My daughter thought that was the COOLest thing . (I asked her if she wanted me to save her the camera when I was finished with it I get to do this on Friday, so today I am back on clear liquids AGAIN, you would think all this fasting would help the last 10 drop, but NOOOOOO Dr. G's office and Angie are concerned that there might be an ulcer in the old stomach and if my symptoms get worse or if my blood count goes down we may need exploratory surgery to check that out, but for now we are on the weight and see. I have been off work for the most part since Christmas break (I tried to go back several times, but it didn't work out so well). Thank GOD for the sick bank (which allows me to go over the allowed number of sick days in a year for an extended illness with a doctors excuse) Lyn, I hope you and Fred are doing fine! One day he will grow tired of you needleing him and just leave for good. Jesi, hope you enjoyed your taste of spring because we are back to WINTER in a big way today (good day to lay around and read) Happy snow day to all you Mom's!! TTFN Jackie

Well glad to hear everything looks good (where they can see anyways) That is my fear....that everything will look good, or really bad. And nothing was stretched How was the actual procedure? Mine is tomorrow at 1pm and I have to be there at 11 to start the IV and stuff! My friend in Galena swallowed the camera too.....she said it was easy WIshing you the best, hope they figure this out without the exploritory. Take Care Jesi

Hey Jesi, Well, I talked with Dr. G's office today to make sure they knew all what was going on, guess what NO CAMERA for me. It is a no go, he is afraid that it is too big to get through the two narrow spots created during the surgery and then I would be in big trouble. So instead they are doing a barium GI follow through. I wish Dr. L would communicate with Dr. G more closely. If I wouldn't have called and asked questions then we could have had a problem. I hope your scope goes well. I know your fears, and am sure you will come out ok. It doesn't hurt, and you won't remember it. Good luck TTFN Jackie
