Have a question

I'm sceduled to have surgery on the 13th. My last test befor preadmission was a pulmonary function test. Everything was fine except my lung capacity was 70%. The respiratory therapist said that was do to my weight. My surgeon read the results today and said they were ok but he still wanted another Dr. who doesn't come in until Monday to also read them. Has any one else ever had somthing like this happen??? I know my doctors are only doing whats best for me. But the 13th isn't very far off....

I did not have this test done prior to my surgery, but my guess is your surgeon is just being cautious that nothing out of the ordinary happens during your surgery. So he is getting a second opionion. Good luck with your surgery, and let us know how you are doing. Cindy G.
