I am almost 2 1/2 years out of surgery, I lost a total of 140 pounds and now am gaining back. I have gained 50 pounds back, but I am not overeating! I don't understand what it is. I haven't been able to exercise due to the fact that I went back to school, but it shoukldn't put on 50lbs! I am scared because after I eat it looks as if I am 9 months pregnant and that is not a good look at 47. Thanks for any help. I haven't seen my surgon in a year.

You should visit with your surgeon before many more pounds return. I am two years out and have also regained some unwanted weight. In my case, I can tell you that it is 100% my fault. I have not followed the basic rules of WLS. It does not seem like I am eating too much but I snack way too much and have reduced my water and protein. I think for you, me or any person that has gained weight back can correct it by following the simple basic rules whick are: 1. Protein first and carbs last. I am back on protein shakes. 2. Do not snack. My problem was cheese crackers. 3. Drink lots of water. I replaced water with diet coke, not too smart but, I'm back on water now. 4. You have to exercise. If you are gaining your weight back you must make time to walk or anything else to burn calories. I realize you know all this but just wanted to remind you and hope you get back on track. It's not over tell the thin lady sings.

Thank you for the support, I have been drinking alot of diet soda, my doctor said any drink without calories was good. Why is it bad to drink the diet soda? Is this why my weight could be going up? I need some answers and I can't get them from anyone. You were the only one to answer my post. So again THANK YOU.
