Okay, had my pre-op physical on Monday. Had an upper resp infection that's going around. You know, stuffy nose, tickly cough, sneezing. Everything was fine. I got up this morning and thought it was turning into a sinus infection. I've had tons of them. Had 2 sinus surgeries so I know when I'm getting one. Called in for a Z-pak which knocks it right out. They called back and said if she called it in I had to cancel my TT for next Tuesday and if I didn't, she would call the surgeon. I went balistic! I told them to forget it and I think I'll forget her. After I have my TT I'm writing a letter firing her and telling her why. Does she think I'm a freakin idiot? I was in the medical profession for 20 years. I think I know when I'm getting a sinus infection and I think I know when I'm too sick to have surgery. So now I will use Afrin which I don't like to use very often to keep things open and hope for the best. As long as I don't have a fever, junk in my lungs, I should be able to have surgery. Jeez, I've had this crud for a week. Seems like it should be almost gone by now. Guess I'll be looking for a new internist.

Thats a bunch of crock if you ask me! She has no right to decide if you will need to cancel your TT. I too deal with a lot of sinus issues (tho not ever having to have the surgery yet) Before one of my surgeries (can't remember which one ) same exact thing happened....stuffiness, then the pain and pressure.....I called my PCP and told him that I was having surgery in a week or whatever and I felt a sinus infection coming on.....he called in the script without hesitation....and when I did have my surgery I told them I was on meds becuase I was getting a sinus infection. As long as your white count isn't high at the time of surgery, you should be good to go! I too don't care for afrin.....burns, and it works great while your using it, then it sucks to stop using it!!!! Anyways.....I think you'll be fine....I would surely get rid of the prissy internist also Wishing you the best....and let us know how it all turns out!!! I am getting a breast reduction Jan 26th My only bit of advice for the TT.....Even tho it sucks and is terribly uncomfortable......wear those stinkin binders as much as possible!!! Again, best of luck Take Care jesi

You are going to be one hot mamma! Not that you aren't already! If I had a reduction, I'd have nothing left! I could use a lift, but I'm afraid I'd have the same problem, nothing left. This way, I just roll 'em up and stuff 'em in!
