Question????

I have been on the liquid diet for 6 1/2 days now. Yesterday and today I have had diarrhea. Does anyone who has been there know if this is normal? I can't call a doctor before Tuesday so I thought maybe someone here could help.

I don't know for sure as I have never done a liquid diet, but it makes sense that you would have liquid in-liquid out.

I believe it is very normal. I had loose stools for the majority of the time I was on the liquid diet. They did start to firm up (just a little) at the very end. My co-worker who had surgery one month prior to mine had a similar surgery. But as always you should check with your doctor if it continues to worry you. Best of luck with your surgery. Hey Paula and Cindy, I want to thank you guys for your help. I guess it does make sense since I'm not eating anything solid. I will check with my doctor tomorrow since they are closed till then. I will be so glad when this is over and I can start to feel better!
