Platuea Buster works!
I've been on the platuea buster diet since last Thursday. I've lost 5 pounds!
I haven't lost that much in about 9 months. I want to lose 6 more then I will be at my goal. I'm guessing I'll lose about 5 from the tummy tuck Jan 17th which will put me at my doctor's goal. I've been afraid that my pouch has stretched some but I did the cottage cheese test and I'm still at about 2 ounces. I just need to use that tool in a better way. No more junk! It's evil. And the more carbs I eat the more I want. I also need to lay off anything with aspartame. I get horrible foot and ankle cramps when I use that stuff. You'd think one would get smarter with age.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Janelle,
I'll let Lyn explain the diet. It's hard. I can't do it as long as I am cooking for my family.
However, I can explain the cottage cheese test. I tried it at about a year. You are actually a bit early to try it. I have been told that you probably shouldn't until 9 months or so. What you are doing is measurjng how much you can hold in your pouch before feeling uncomfortable. You measure out a cup or so of cottage cheese & start eating it. You must use cottage cheese because it will stay in the pouch a bit longer than other smooth foods like yogurt but still compacts without air pockets. You need to eat it fairly quickly so it doesn't get a chance to leave the pouch. When you start to feel uncomfortable, your pouch is full. Stop at this point & measure how much cottage cheese is left. Subtract that amount from what you started with & that is a pretty good indication of how much your pouch will hold.
When I did it, I suspected that I could hold 6 oz but was surprised to discover I could only hold 4 oz.
