Hi all- MERRY CHRISTMAS! I have had five wow moments in the last 48 hours! First, a skirt that I loved in college (long denim) fits me. I LOVE THAT SKIRT and felt good wearing it at work this week! Its the only "thin me" clothing that I have and I have not been able to wear it for about 12 years! Second, I was having trouble keeping my pants up so I finally broke down to get some new jeans- I didnt have to shop in the plus size dept- grabbed an 18 and they fit! Third, driving to my in-laws tonight I tried to hold a bottle of water between my thighs- I shoved hard as I always had to squi**** in between but guess what- it dropped right to the seat with no thigh flab in the way- WOWZA! Then I got to my in-laws and I was wearing my new outfit and when I walked in they were like WOW! My brother in law said- if you weren't my sister in law we could get into trouble!! Then when another of my brother in laws was leaving he gave me a hug and whispered "You are looking great kiddo!" Happy day! Here is to wishing all of you lots of wow moments this weeek and throughout 2006!! -Nan

Hello Doesn't that feel great! My brother said told me, "If he wasn't my brother and wasn't married, he would have married me." And we really never got along until we were both out of school. I had a big WOW, when my favorite Jumper was too big, mom told me I couldn't wear it anymore, it was way too big, I actually cried, "But mom, this is my favorite." So, I had to give it up. Darn it! But maybe I can find another one like it in my size. Well, better get to mom and dads and start wrapping presents, haven't even started and we're doing Christmas tonight about 7. It'll be pure luck to get it all done. Take care Merry Christmas! Lisa Young

Lisa- I hear you on the mourning you experienced over the loss of your favorite jumper! This weekend I cleaned up my closet and had a lot of things that needed to be "let go"! However, like you I just couldnt break the bond for a few items but unlike you, I held onto them!! Maybe in about two months I can try again!! My mom says that she may be able to take in these precious items so perhaps I will not need to experience the heartbreak of losing them?? Crossing my fingers!! -Nan

Congratulations, Nan, & Merry Skinny Christmas. I remember those days so well when the weight loss finally became evident and you get the notice you have worked so hard to enjoy. I know you probably did this for your health but if you're like me, I also wanted to look good. Keep enjoying them. They will continue. Also they are good things to keep in your memory when you get discouraged later down the line and, unfortunately, there will be discouraging times. We all have them too. I hope you have many more WOW moments, today, tomorrow, & forever. Dixie

Thanks, Dixie. Yes my objectives were totally about health but the looking better is a plus that I am really enjoying! I will pack them away into my memory so that I can remember them when I need a lift! -Nan
