Well how many inches did ya get???
Here in Dubuque we faired pretty well I think. It is 8:20 am and we only have like 2 inches so far....Still expecting more today, but not too bad! My parents got over 5inches already in Charles City I am glad to be here The schools are all cancelled so I have three little crazy girls running around happy as can be! Today is my hubbys 30th so they are excited to bake him a cake and then build a snowman with him when he gets home from work! Other than that.....maybe shovel some snow and a little grocery shopping and laundry.....should be a nice day How is the weather were everyone else is at?? Stay safe and warm.....Take Care jesi
HOORAY! I am all done with Finals. And we only have 3 inches so far, but it's again snowing again.
I'm about to go out and pick up some prescriptions for my grandpa, so I will see how the roads are. Maybe this weekend, I can get my dad's four wheeler out and go play in the snow.
Can't wait. I'm done for school for a whole month.
Have fun baking a cake and making the snowman. I can't believe it, I get colder and colder every time it snows. So, bundle up when you go out.
Take care
Love

Hi Jesi...I dont know how many inches we got yet but it is still coming down,it started last night about 5 raining and then turned to snow and hasnt stopped yet..needless to say we are getting hammered,if that wind kicks up like they say it is supposed to we wont be going anywhere for a while(personally I am ready for a tropical island somewhere )...Have fun with your lil ones I remember those days..baking,snowmen and then cocoa always made for some sound asleep kids early so I had the evening for me,lol Have a great day and stay warm... Lori
Jesi, we got about 2 more inches last night also, but this time it is a slushy snow. We had a 2 hour delay in school and when I left home at 9 this morning it was freezing rain at home(I live about 7 miles out of town) but the closer I got to town the less rain. It was only misting by the time I got here so I guess they were right to not cancel school. I would rather go now than have it tacked on at the end of the year anyhow. Makes for wilder kids though when we have a delay or early out. Enjoy your kids today and be kind to yourself. Cindy G.
I think we probably got around 5-6" but it drifted on our drive pretty bad. A couple times I wondered if I'd get stuck drivng out this afternoon when I went to work. Once I got on the gravel road it wasn't bad & the highways were clean. Hope it's still that way when I drive home after midnight. But if I get stuck on the driveway coming home, I am gonna be pretty unhappy with my husband for not plowing.
I'm sitting here at work all warm (relatively) & dry & wishing I was at home making a snowman or a cake. Have fun Jesi.
