I need a new fill doctor -- any help?

Dear fellow bandsters: I had a terrible falling out with my surgeon and his physician's assistant. I won't go into details right now, but I will say that if I wanted to proceed with a malpractice lawsuit, I would definitely have grounds to do so. (I don't have any plans to do that; it's not worth the time and money to me.) After consulting with others in the medical field, I've decided that I need to find a new doctor to do "fills" on my band and assist me if I have any problems. Can anyone recommend a doctor near Eastern Iowa? I can't rest easy until I know I have a competent, caring physician to work with me. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dear Rare Gem, I am scheduled for Lap Band surgery Jan.10, 2006. I too am looking for a refil Doc. Have you tried contacting Saratori Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa? I haven't yet but I know when I went to an information meeting there they talked about doing refills and follow-ups for people that have moved to the area. I know I need to get this lined up, but i'm scared that when I tell them I'm going to Mexico they will refuse. Good luck. Let me know if you have any success.

I am not sure where you were going before.....but there are a few places in the eastern part of Iowa.....There is Genesis in Davenport....someone already mentioned CedarFalls ....There is trinity in Rock Island (tho I don't know anyone who has personally gone there) There is also a place in Platteville WI.....Have you looked into any of these?? I had my surgery at U of I......but drove there from Dubuque. Good Luck jesi
