URGENT_ PLEASE READ

I just got a call from the mother of an old school friend of one of my boys. Her daughter had the surgery in September & is having a very hard time. She is in the hospital yet again & was scoped last night. I don't know all the particulars but she is in a lot of pain and is not able to eat much at all. Most everything makes her vomit or at least wretch. Her mother asked me if I would help support her in this. I asked if it was OK to let you all know & see if anyone would be willing to e-mail her notes of encouragement & to let her know we are thinking of her. Thanks for doing this. She is a very nice young gal who needs as much support as we can give her. She has been very hesitant to let people know that she had the surgery. I have orders not to tell Doug that she had it as she doesn't want it public. I hope that has changed. Her mother did say it was OK for me to give out her name to you. Please do this. I visited with Linda this afternoon and she is in major pain. They have her on morphine now. The nurses asked that I not stay more than a couple minutes & she wasn't very lucid anyway so I only stayed a couple minutes. Her Mom wasn't there or I would have asked a few questions about what they learned from the scope. Linda did say she had an ulcer but she knew about that before. Please do send her some encouragement. It will mean so much to her. Dixie
