It is out of my hands now.
Hello!
Well everything is sent in and now I have to wait to hear if my insurance approves it. It is in thier hands now. I have completed everything. I am hoping and praying they will say yes. But I have to ADMIT I am having second thoughts. BIG TIME! I AM SOOOO scared of dying and leaving my young son. That is my biggest concern. No one will love him as much as I do. He needs his momma. I am a very little risk but I still am freaked out. I am otherwise a pretty healthy obese person. I should know by friday. I will post when I know

Sending good vibes your way!!! I think it might get a little worse before better.....I was nervous, but when I was approved and heard the words....I really got nervous, like HOLY POOP what have I gotten myself into now! I too had young ones at home....mine at the time were 4 and 2 so I know what your feeling......but FOR ME, it was something I knew needed to be done.....no turning back really! You should bring your little guy and hang out here for the afternoon!! Take Care jesi
Praying for you...
My letter was sent on 10/7. I called the insurance company yesterday. The lady was really nice and said it was in the second stage of review. She said to give it another 7 days and call again. So I'm on the waiting bench right beside you.
I know how you feel about your son. I am a single mom of an eight year old boy, too. I remind myself that the value of years that I will gain from surgery far out weighs any risk. I will die sooner if I DON'T have this done.
I am doing this so that I can live.
I, too, am an otherwise healthy obese person. I am diabetic, but people live many years managing diabetes.
Remember me in your prayers and I will pray for you.
Angela, I just received my approval on the 13th, and it was no fun waiting. My approval took 26 days. But now that I have the answer, I am thinking (in Jesi's words), "Holy POOP!! What have I gotten myself into???" It is hard to keep your mind off it because some stranger behind a desk very far away who has never, ever met you is deciding your fate. or It is so unfair. You are certainly at the insurance company's mercy. Best of luck to you and come chat anytime you feel like it. ~Nicole T.
Good Luck Angel..I hope you get your approval soon!!! I so remember the waiting game too!!!I know I had to do this for me,my kids,my grandkids..if that is I wanted to be around to enjoy them...I am so glad I stuck to it and fought the fight and won it!!! I actually even like myself now, that hasnt been in a long time!!! I wish I would have done it years ago...Keep us posted and sending prayers your way...hang in there
