Great News!

Well, I don't post much, but I know some of you. So I wanted to share my news...I'm pregnant...with TWINS! We have a 3 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. We found out on September 15 about the pregnancy and this past Wednesday we're having twins! As you can see I was only about 9 months out when I found out, but luckily I was below goal already. Dr. Glas****'s office was a little concerned, but assured me I was lucky that I reached goal before getting pregnant. Angie told me I will be one of the lucky ones who should have no problem dropping the weight after delivery. Thank goodness. I am seeing a nutritionist to help make sure the babies are taken care of! I just wanted to share my good news with the board and say hello to everyone. Also, good luck and patience to those waiting for surgery (and everyone else of course!). Thanks everyone! Congratulations, twins must be the thing this year. You will be very busy soon. Congratulations also on reaching goal. Thats not an easy task to do. I also reached my goal in about 9 mos. Now I am having trouble not loosing to much weight. I just don't like the taste of food anymore. Be sure you take good care of yourself and pamper yourself as often as possible. You deserve it. Congrats Stephanie ~ that's great news!!! Twins yet ~~ that's very close to my birthday, do you suppose you could have them on my birthday 5/23???? How have things been going with you? I'm sorry I kind of dropped out of keeping in touch with you. It seems the farther out we get, at least for me, the busier I am and I lose touch with everyone. I'm below goal now -- at 139, and an easy size 10. Never thought I would get here, but boy does it feel great!!! Be sure and take care of yourself and the babies. Hi Janie! I was really hoping you'd post! It's so good to hear from you! I'm so proud of you for reaching your goal, I knew you could do it! And I'll try for 5.23 but I was told I'll be lucky to make it to 37 weeks with twins. I had both my other kids at 38 weeks, so we'll see! We are not staying in CF. My hubby is being transferred to DeKalb, IL in February or March, so I'll be VERY pregnant! Luckily Target has a moving company do all of the work for us so I can relax! DeKalb is about 2 hours closer to our families in St. Louis so it's a great move! I will keep the board updated on the twins, hopefully we'll find out the sexes right before Christmas, so I'll post when we found out! Thanks for the warm wishes! Good morning, Stephanie and congrats!!! Welcome to the twins club! I am almost 2 years out for surgery and waited the proverbial year to 18 months to get pg again - as planned before surgery. Then, at about 7 weeks along, was in the hospital for some other issues - stomach pains, (not baby related) and had an ultrasound and found out we are having twins. WOW! I thought that we were having baby #4, but now it's #'s 4 and 5 - we're doubly blessed. I, also am working with a dietician to be sure to get enough of the right foods for baby. Just wanted to let you know that we're in the same boat. Congrats and God bless, Andrea P.S. I'm due May 1st, but hope to go a little sooner in April.

Thanks Andrea! And congrats on your good news too! Yeah, we thought this was baby number 3, and now it's number 3 & 4, so I know how you feel! I would have waited to get pregnant, we didn't do this on purpose, it just happened. It took over a year to have my daughter, and we tried with her. At least we each have someone we can talk to about what we're going through! My OB told me twin pregnancies rarely go past 37 weeks, so I'd bet you'll go in April. Stephanie, My doc said that 37-40 weeks is full-term and he expects me to carry them full term because I'm healthier than I have ever been. We'll see. Like I said - I would like to be able to take a lot of time off for me and the babies, so hope things go well, but go early! How did you find out so early that you were having twins? Are you showing already? I am ONLY in maternity clothes now, except for the XXL tee-shirts that I can wear at home. Of course, need to buy new undies and bras because I'm almost out of those, too. In actuality, I need to buy lots more maternity clothes because I don't have that many, and in my profession, I need a few more good outfits. Well, again, congrats and God bless, Andrea
