How long did your insurance approval take??

Hello there, I was just wondering if you could give me an idea of how long it took for you to get insurance approval once all your papers were sent in? My insurance co is NGS American, and they have had all my paperwork officially since Sept. 18th. This waiting game is driving me crazy. I am penciled in on the surgery schedule for October 17th. Now I am told by the hospital that if I do not have an official approval by this Friday my surgery will have to be rescheduled. I am super bummed and have everything in my life rearranged around an Oct 17th surgery. I have called the insurance company a few times too. And each time the gal says "I will call you when we have an answer."

I have bc/bs and was approved in 4 days. My surgeon won't give you a date until you get your approval. Hopefully it won't take much longer and you can have your surgery on the 17th. ~Cindy~
