Sleep study next monday
Hello!!!!
I have my sleep study next monday. I was wondering if anyone had any good tips on what to bring? I am going to bring a fan, pillow and pjs. Also did anyone have a sleep study done and they didn't have it? I feel like I don't have it. I don't have any signs of it anyways. I am hoping I don't have it because I want to send it in to my insurance and if they cover I want to schedule the surgery I am sick of waiting.
Thank you much!

I didn't bring nothing......just went in clothes I would sleep in.....like lounging short and gruby shirt or whatever.....they are way accomidating.....I told them I like it cold....they turned the air up super high....it was pitch black.....had the tv on a little and slept like a baby......seriously...the best sleep I had in a LONG time....ni kids, no hubby, dark and cold....LOVED IT!!! Then when they woke me up at 5-6ish.....i got a drink of water, went potty and headed home in the clothes I slept in! EASY! Take Care and good luck jesi
I didn't bring anything. I just went in my cloths to sleep in. They had a fan in the room. I didn't sleep well because of all the wires but I had to have the test done. Good luck and I hope you don't have sleep apena. I had to us the machine for 30 days before they would release me for surgery. Let us know how it turns out. Bye

Don't bring a fan they have one, but do bring a pillow. You'll have to sleep on your back, and I had to prop my head up. Of course you have to bring jammas. I also suggest your shampoo and conditioner, they put gunk in your hair.
I thought I didn't have sleep apena, but turned out I had a severe case 155/hour. Even though it does slow down the process, but be confident that with Tricare, they will get your approval completed as soon as Mercy submits your paperwork. For me I was approved in less than 1/2 day. I know you are excited, but prepare yourself mentally starting now. I am having a hard time mentally with the loss of food.
Good luck
Hi Tracie,
I am just so excited to start losing I want to schedule it and know where I stand. I am trying hard to prepare myself mentally I know it will be the hardest thing I do mentally for myself. I have a special needs child and I feel like I went thru a lot and I will have the mental part down. I really am preparing for the worst. I hope you are doing well. I hope tricare is quick to approve me. I don't have many co-morbids. So having sleep apnea would probably be beneficial to approving me.
Thank you

I had my sleep study last Friday night and it sucked!! They told me that I did sleep, but I have no idea when. I felt like I was awake the whole night. I laid there and listened to the guy in the next room snoring his fool head off ALL NIGHT. I haven't seen the dr yet for the results, but I don't know how accurate they are going to be. I had planned to go get myself a nice, leisurely Starbucks latte the next morning, but they had so much goop in my hair (to hold the electrodes in place) that I looked like a swamp thing, so I just went straight home and back to bed and slept for 5 hours.
