1 week out

Hi everyone, Just wanted to say that yesterday was my 1 week post op appt. So far, so good. I feel great - no real complaints (especially now that the drain is out!!!!!) I've reached my first goal of weighing less than my hubby. My initial weigh-in wt at the office - way back when.... July, maybe? Anyway, it was 265. Now I'm at 229. My mom is even excited now. She said that it'll be so interesting to see how different I look my Xmas. I can't even imagine... Amy

Way to go Amy!! You've already had several milestones!!! Weighing less than the hubby is a BIGGY. I remember when I did that...So exciting!!! And to have your mom on your side rooting for you is awesome! Keep up the good work. Heres to lighter and brighter days ahead!!! Debi 279/159/150ish??

Thanks Debi! It was weird, because those first two goals were to be lighter than him, and the second goal was to be in the 220's. The thought never struck me that he had been losing weight and that I might hit both goals at once! My mother was never thrilled with the idea of surgery, but I have to say, she's supportive now - I'm sure mainly because it has gone smoothly so far. Plus, now I'll agree to be in more pictures. And she always wants to go shopping. (I'm SO not a shopper - never have been) Amy

My parents were apprehensive about the surgery, but let me make my own decisions. My husband supported me the whole step of the way!! And still does! NOT a shopper!?!?!?!?!?!?!? That will definately change...as you start seeing that things fit and look nice, you will become addicted!!! I figured that I would never be below a size 12, so when I got to that point which, had I not lost another pound I would still be exstatic!!! Low and behold all of my 12's are getting too big, and 10's fit nice!!! eye yi yi!! Hang on tight its a wonderful ride! Debi
