Acceptable Chinese food?
Colleen,
I think by now, as long as you can handle the meat, you should be able to eat almost anything. You might want to have them either leave off the rice or have it on the side. Then pick out the meat first & eat it, followed by the veggies.
I usually order the chicken with snow peas and big chunks of mushroom. It's not very spicy & there's plenty to take home for a second meal.
Almond chicken would be pretty good also.
Have fun! Oh, by the way, I eat the fortune cookie. It's small & doesn't really have much sugar. A nice little treat.

Colleen ~ the only thing I ever really watch out for are the sweet things like sweet & sour anything or kung pao chicken. I think it's the honey on it. I avoid the soups because I think it's more important to have the food than the soup which would go through your pouch a lot faster. Otherise I love chinese.... I do go really easy on the rice and like Dixie said do your meat and veggies...

So, Colleen, how'd it go? I hope you had a good time & also found something you could enjoy. I think it's so important for us to fit in with the crowd when we socialize. Obviously, we don't have to overdo it but we can learn to make safe, wise choices. I have gotten to the point where I think I can eat almost anywhere now but I'm very picky about what I choose to eat. Chinese is a very good choice.
