YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I went in for my followup psych exam today. Dr. Martin said that he believes I would be a great candidate for surgery, so he sent my approval to Dr. Sundberg (Mid-Iowa Bariatrics). They sent in all my insurance stuff yesterday. Even though I know they wouldn't have an answer I called BC/BS today to see. They said probably by tuesday next week!!!!! I am sooooo Nervous!!!!!!!! :-l Anyone know what happens after approval? I just never thought I would get here so now I'm totally confused! -Miranda

Hi Miranda!! After you get approval, a nurse will call you and set up the date of your surgery!!! They will also have you set a date with the anesthesiologist and you'll need a pre-op physical with your family physician. These can be done 1 week before your scheduled surgery-no sooner. This is the way they do it at Grinnell anyway. My daughter's surgery is this Wednesday and when she went they also did an EKG, bloodwork and then she visited with the nutritionist.
