Good morning - Roll Call!!
Hi all, I'm here today and it looks like this board is moving ohhhhhhhhhhh soooooooooooooo sslllllllllloooooooooowwwwwwwwwllllllllllyyyyyyyyyy! Thought it would be nice to see and hear who all is here today! Give us a hollar if you are checkin' in and let us know how you are doing.
As for me - just trying to continue to eat easily digested foods to feed these babies. Lately, they are craving a lot of fruit and not many cheese sticks (my main staple in life, usually). I also just don't want to eat sometimes - how weird is that????? Right now, we're sitting tight on the tummy pains. If they happen again, I will probably have to have an endoscopy and if that doesn't give us any info, then my surgeon wants to do exploratory lap surgery. Don't want any of that because of risk to the babies. Please, keep us in your thoughts and prayers so that I have no more of that debilitating pain and that the babies can grow healthy and strong.
That's all for now, gotta run. Let's hear from you all now!!
God bless,
Andrea
First I want to say congrats on the babies. I would love to have another 1 I have a daughter who is now 5 but I know I need to wait at least 18 months. I'm now 2 months and 1 week out and I'm down 66 lbs. I'm very happy with my lose so far. I want to be down 75 lbs by my 3 month check up. I have been working out at the gym and love the way it makes me feel. Well just checking in. My goals for this week are
1. get all my water in
2. Take my vitamins
3. Go to the gym
Again congrats on the twins!!!

Hi, Melissa! That 18 months is hard to weight, but we did just that. Got pg a little over 19 months out. It is soooooooo worth the wait, though!
It sounds like you are doing wonderfully! 66 pounds in 2 months is a phenomenal loss. Be sure that you are getting vitamins and protein in.
Isn't that feeling of getting to the gym wonderful? I had a hard time modifying my workouts because of the pregnancy, but now have everyone there - hubby, trainers, friends, etc. - watching my heartrate and the amount of activity that I do.
Keep up the good work and God bless,
Andrea
Good morning Andrea!! Congrats on the twins and I'll keep you in my prayers that those awful pains don't come back and that your babies grow strong and healthy.
I've been trying to stay really busy since my own horrible pains finally went away. My hubby is really happy to have his wife back. We've been out and about and even went dancing Saturday night. I did have to sit down to rest every 20 minutes or so but hubby stayed on the dance floor and now he's hobbling around like an old man.
So far I've had no problems with anything I've eaten but of course I haven't tried sugar or greasy (don't plan to either). If I eat too fast, I get a little nauseated but no throwing up or dumping. I've eaten hamburger and chicken with no problem. I'm down 40.5 lbs so far at almost 6 weeks out. Yesterday I actually got in 73 grams of protein and all 64 ounces of fluid finally. Let's hope I can keep that up.
Amy is having her surgery this morning so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers for an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery.
take care, Leslie
Leslie,
Thanks for the congrats and the prayers! Sounds like you are doing well, now. Dancin is one of my most fave things to do, but only get to do it at wedding receptions, mostly - GREAT exercise! I'm glad that foods are going down easily for you - especially those meats. That helps to get in the protein you need. Your loss is terrifi****ep up the good work!
Prayers going out for Amy!
God bless,
Andrea
I keep hoping that the reason the board is moving so slow is that everyone is getting along fine. I have lost all my weight now at 9 mos. out and actually am suppose to put on 10 lbs never thought I would ever hear that in my life time. I still have trouble eatting certain foods, but know now it is in my head, just need to get my head on right so I can eat again. I am still not hungry very much of the time. I am drinking my protien again so I can get enough of that and that has helped with the strength issues I have had. Otherwise life is great and hope everyone elses is too. Come on people lets hear from ya. Cindy G.
Cindy,
Wow - already lost all of your weight at just 9 months out. Eating must be a real prob for you. I wish that I didn't have the urge to eat, however, it's still there. Even eat when I don't need to sometimes. I'm glad that you're drinking protein again - be careful that you are getting all the supplements and vitamins that your body needs. Are you working closely with a dietician or nutritionist and/or your surgeon? Please take care of you!!
God bless,
Andrea
Hi Andreea,
I'm here! I am doing wonderfully. Feeling better every day & eagerly anticipating throwing off my compression garment next week! Work is getting easier but I still get a bit swollen by about 10:00 pm but Tylenol takes care of the discomfort.
My scales are still being stubborn. How can I lose size but gain weight? And no, I can't give extra muscle credit for that as I still have 2 more weeks until I can start exercising. Maybe I can blame it on not exercising. It's only a couple pounds but it's very frustrating. I also am craving fruit of all kinds but, unlike you, can't credit that to babies. I'm trying to stick to fresh veggies with I get the munchies. Cherry tomatoes are almost as good as candy. I have also become a coffee addict. I've had about 6 cups so far today. A bit excessive?
My goals are to lose that couple lbs, and follow my surgeon's orders to the letter. I always feel better when I do. He must know what he's talking about, huh?
Take care of yourself. I've been praying for you & the twins right along with my DIL & future grandaughter. Oh, saw the most recent ultrasound images & sure hope she looks better than that when she's born. Otherwise we'll have to say she takes after my MIL!!! Not really, she's going to be beautiful & very spoiled!
Dixie
Dixie,
Good morning. I can just imagine that you are waiting anxiously to get that garment off!!! Could the extra couple of pounds be the water retention from fluid build-up? If not, just blow it off to not being able to exercise. I know that has been an issue for me, although, I'm still exercising, just taking it easy now and modifying a lot of the classes that I do to fit my personal needs. Babies seem to know when I need to quit doing something and move on to something else. The other day, I was spinning and just felt like my belly was moving too much, so jumped off the bike and hit the track for some speed-walking. Heck, couldn't do too much anyway because Mark watches me like a hawk and if he's not there, the trainers watch my heartrate monitor for him. Last night, the trainer even peeked and told me to just "stop" what I was doing. OK - gotta keep babies healthy and will do anything to do that. (Obviously, I'm not as worried about gaining weight and not pushing it at the gym as much as I was before.)
Yummmmmmmmm cherry tomatoes. A friend brought us some a couple of times and I brought a handful for lunch several days in a row. YUMMM Also gotta say yummy to the coffee! I drink at least 3 cups daily, however, have moved to 1/2 decaf and 1/2 regular now. Of course, I splurge and buy the flavored coffee - a little splenda and some milk and I almost have a latte'.
Thanks for the prayers. When is your DIL due? I'm sure your little granddaughter will be beautiful!!
God bless,
Andrea
Andrea - it's great to see you back on the boards and congrats again on the twins. You take care of yourself and God will take care of the rest.
My only real goal is to continue my great workouts at the gym. A friend has talked me into doing trying a 5K next summer. I think it will be fun (famous last words). This morning I walked/jogged 4 miles and then did a 1/2 mile cooldown in about 55 minutes. Then I jumped on the bike and did another 2 miles. I love the sweat and can't hardly believe I'm saying that.
I had a real WOW moment this week too -- my b/f picked me up, threw me over his shoulder and proceeded to twirl me around. The mere fact that he picked me up made my head spin, let alone the twirling part. I NEVER in my lifetime thought I could feel so weightless.
Hope everyone has a great week.
