Finally...scrapbook
I got my plastic surgery scrapbook completed. You can see it by clicking on the "WWW" below. If asked for a password it's dixie.
To be completly honest, it really isn't completed. I intend to make one last page in about 6 months, a truely "after" view.
By the way, the scrapbook is split into two parts, the TT & the second phase of the belt lipectomy. Jut click on the one you want to view. WARNING>>>> there are several very graphic photographs and a truely awful "butt" shot. That one may be removed shortly.

Wow I can't believe the difference! Thank you for sharing your personal photos with us and giving us the chance to see what it looks like. Someday maybe I will get mine done. Did you experience more pain with the back side than you did with the tummy tuck? How long were you off work? Thanks Again! Kim
I was back to work part-time at 2 weeks & full time at 3. I think if I worked days like most people do I could have gone full time at 2 weeks because sweeling starts toward evening. I am on a 10 lb lifting restriction until 6-7 weeks. I did go back full time with the tummy tuck at 2 weeks but went home early a couple times because I was exhausted.
I have to admit it hurt more than the tummy tuck but only later. At the time of the surgery it was easier. This time there was no muscle involvement & that's what hurts. The reason this one hurts more now is because there is always tension on it when sitting.
That being said, even with the big incisions these surgeries hurt much less than my lap RNY. The incsion for the TT was around 36 inches long, starting way behind each hip & extending into a big smile across my abdomen dipping down to the pubic area. The new one uses about 8 inches of the old one on each side but is still around 30 inches total. You'd think it would hurt more. Right now, except for some discomfort from swelling I only hurt where the incision runs across the hip bones in front. That's because there is no padding there at all so if it gets pressed or bumped, it smarts. I actually put paddng over it to protect it from the zipper on the compression garment.
I'm glad you enjoyed the album. I really enjoyed making it.
