SWELLING!!!!!!!! I was feeling pretty smug the last few days. I have very little pain. I quit the pain pills because they made me itchy so I'm just taking tylenol but today I am really swollen. I have a bubble butt and feel like I have a pillow attached to my backside. I weigh almost as much as I did before the surgery! So far no seroma and there is less in the drains each day so hopefully he will pull them on Monday. I just keep repeating, "It will be worth it" "It will be worth it." Hope you're feeling better than I am tonight. I was drained again on Thursday.........she drained my upper and lower! She still insists I look great......but I am one of those that makes fluid! Yippie NOT!!!!! I have been wearing my binders like 24/7......she had said that my support garmets were enough.....but since I am retaining fluid so bad......I am wearing both!!!! And I am noticing a decrease in the amount of fluid......that is nice! I TOTALLY feel for ya tho.....it is so very depressing looking into that mirror or stepping on that scale!!!! I am still up a few lbs, but not like before thank goodness!!! Thanks Jesi, I think the chanting helped. I took my garment off (wondering if I could squeeze back in again ) & took a nice long shower. Then I stood in front of the mirror & & discovered that, indeed it is worth it. Even with the swelling I see improvement. Then I pulled it back on, took some Tylenol, & went to bed and slept great. This morning the swelling is down a bit. My scales have me at a 4 lb loss since last Monday (the amount he removed) but I still feel nausous. Yesterday the hoof trimmer came so I had to make a decent dinner for the guys. I know I was up on my feet way too long & did way too much. Today, it's frozen pizza & they better be satisfied! I wonder if there is such a thing as post plastic surgery depression? We all know about post natal depression. That's what this feels like to me. Maybe my hot flashes yesterday were hormone related. I never had any, even though I no longer have any ovaries, I guess I'm lucky to just have them now. I know in a few days I will be better. I mean, what do I expect? It's only been 5 days since some pretty serious surgery. By the way, I heard from Denise yesterday & she is in the same boat as we are so we are in good company. I bet, given another few weeks we'll be happy, flat, smooth & will have forgotten this part of the healing. It will be worth it... It will be worth it...It will be worth it... Dixie

You can have depression after any type of sugery. It's from the anesthetic and all the drugs they give you. I have it almost everytime I've had surgery.

I'm sure that both of you look wonderful!!! I can only wait till it's me complaining and chanting. I'll be looking to both of you for comfort and encouragement. Right now, just working on cooking this bun in the oven and getting fatter - NOT (really afraid of gaining weight!) I am going to look for pics of both of you because I haven't seen them yet. Jesi is hot! And once her fluid problem goes away she will feel as good as she looks. I'm sure we'll both be happy to encourage you eventually but for now enjoy growing that new little one and you know from Deb's pregnancy that it can be done without wrecking all you have done so far.
