Hello
Have a question.
I had a Dr's appointment with Dr. Coster today. He says I'm ready for a tummy tuck surgery, panni. But with no insurance as of yet. Should know something within a month or so, I think. But how long was the recovery? If I get my insurance, I'm planning on doing this during my Christmas break from College. which is about 6 weeks, I believe.
Forgot to ask him today. Gotta remember to take vitamins. He put me on Prenatal (why?) oh well, and Calcium citrate.
Thanks.

Hi Lisa,
My plastic surgeon considers 6 weeks normal recovery for a TT. You will probably feel pretty good after just a couple weeks but will experience swelling off & on for several weeks, maybe even months. I went back to work after two weeks & suspect that you could return to classes at that time also if you don't have to do anything very strenuous. I was on a 10 lb lifting limit for 6 weeks.
I just had my second plastic surgery (for want of a better name, a butt lift) last Monday & tonight is probably the worse night since I came home on Tuesday. I am very swollen & my compression garment feels too tight. I suspect I did too much today & am now paying for it. I feel really good otherwise with very little pain.
Good luck. I hope your insurance will pay for it. Let us know when you hear.

Are you still trying to get medicaid or something?? I hope you get it....what about title19 or something? Is your lawyer still helping ya? I start school on Monday going back to college also, and I will be almost 4 weeks post-tummy tuck. I am still dealing with swelling, but I won't have a problem sitting in classes for a couple hours. I also take a prenatel......and I don't plan on ever becoming pregnant....I don't even have a uterus anymore.....but they are just a really good vitamin loaded with extras for a pregnant woman......so they are good for us too Put your vitamins on the counter.....and take them first thing in the morning.....with whatever you put in your mouth first......or put them in your bathroom and take them right before bed........just get into the habit of taking them daily.....keep them somewhere you'll remember to take them Good Luck and take care jesi
