It's official for patients of Dr Eibes

I have now been informed that Dr Eibes is going to be opening his practice in mid Sept but they will be answering the phones beginning Sept 1st. YAHOO. He will be located at 6000 University Ave Ste 300 in WDM, otherwise known as Lakeview Medical Plaza. It will be called Des Moines Bariatrics. Phone number 515-222-9727. An FYI for any of his patient that may not have heard yet.

Where did this guy come from? Is he also going to be doing his surgery at Mercy Capitol?

He was at Surgical Associates in Grinnell. He was suppose to be my surgeon but then left so I got Dr Coster. Dr. Eibes seemed to be an awesome surgeon too! Tracie S.. 341/281/180

Does anyone know if he does lap or open?

When he was with Surgical Assoc he only did open and I would think that is what he will continue to do, but you would need to call and find out for sure. I know when I seen him he stated he felt that open was better to the point you are not in surgery as long and less chance for infection and also if there was a problem it could be handled right then. He is an awesome surgeon and I would highly recommend him. I'm not sure but I think he will end up doing his surgeries at Ia Methodist at least that was what he indicated in April when he was preparing to leave Grinnell. So that could be different too. I will be making my next follow up as soon as the phones are up. No more trips to Grinnell although Dr Coster was a nice fill in I want and planned on staying with Dr Eibes.
