Still no energy
Good morning..I'm more of a reader than a poster but, I do have a question. I am 17 weeks post op.and 65 lbs down. I only make out with "john"
but about once a week now. I just don't understand why, I still have no energy. Yes, I get my water in and very good about getting my protein drinks down. I do exercise everyday but, I still am so tired. I am alright for the first few hours of the day but, by 10...I am ready for a nap unfortunatly...I am at work. For some reason they frown on ppl taking naps at work...go figure.
Any ideas
Deb

Morning Deb
First of all congrats on your weight loss
It might not be a bad idea to get into the dr & get some blood work done. Are you getting your vitamins in? Might have to up those or change them. Think the best bet is to get in get blood work done & see what's showing up there, you may be a little low on iron or something. Keep us posted
Hugs
Carolyn

Deb,
I didn't starte feeling like I had any energy until I was able to start taking the Vista Vitamins. I had tried them at 6 weeks, but they made me sick. Then I tried again at 6 months, and could tolerate them just fine. Now I LOVE them, because I just feel so darn good finally. They are chelated and especially formulated for gastric bypass patients. I just think they are great.
Also....on the protein drinks....make sure there is no sugar in whatever you are taking. The carbs cause that high and then the crash a couple hours later. Some of those protein drinks do have sugar in them. I am NOT a shake drinker, but believe it or not, I have come to LOVE drinking an Atkins ready made drink every morning. Gives me that little boost of protein, and I can get the other grams in with the food I eat.

I too am always tired
My labs are great.....I do all the stuff I am supposed to (except exercise
) Do you take extra iron?? what about your B12?? Maybe have those looked into......I think I am gonna be tired for another good 14 or more years (my youngest is 4) And the older we get the slower we recoup from stuff....and that was a MAJOR surgery.......Chin up....it should get better
Take Care and Good luck
