I made it!!!

Hi from Mexico. I just wanted everyone in Iowa to know that I had surgery on Tuesday the 9th and am doing awesome. I am sitting here in Mexico as we speak. My doc and staff where the most helpful, caring people I have ever meet!!! I will be getting my bag and tube off today and then will be released to come home. Hopefully getting a plane ticket for Friday. I am finally on the losing side and it feels great. I lost 15 lbs on my 9 day liquid diet and have lost 12 more since my surgery on Tuesday. I feel great!! I will let you know when I make it home!! Thanks for the support and prayers!! Jen

Congrats, Jen! So glad to hear you are doing well! Just remember, get up and walk around on that plane as much as you can. You are at higher risk for blood clot so soon after surgery so keep moving!! Wishing you safe travel home! - Nan
