Approved

Hi Everyone, I have been approved by my insurance company. I havent heard much from Dr Glas****s office. Im not sure what my next move should be. Do I call? I dont want to be a pest! Has anyone else had experience with this office? Please advise! Thanks!!!!!!

Congrats Kathy! Isn't it a great feeling when you are approved finally? I am also a patient of Dr. Glas****s. You will get a letter in the mail saying congrats you are approved from them. You will be called and told what tests you need to have done(labs,chest e-ray,ultrasound.) I have those done already. Tomorrow I'm having to be scoped, cardiac clearence, and pulmonary clearence(I have sleep apnea) After that I will meet with the dr. and get a date. Hope this helps. ~Cindy~

Hi Kathy, Honestly, it probably won't be long. Leslie and I got our approvals around the same time - the only thing that slowed her down was the sleep apnea dx, and she had surgery last week! My major hang up is being off BC pills. LOL Then the next problem after that is school starting for 2 out of 3 of my children - so I'm all set to have surgery on Sept. 20th. Really though, the other tests don't take that long... Good luck! Amy

Amy- did you have to go off of your BCP? I was reading your entry and just wondered as my doc didnt say anything about that to me- maybe he doesnt require it- anyway I was just wondering what you meant about your major hang up being off BC pills. Let me know. Thanks!! -Nan

Yep. Dr. G's office wants you off for 30 days before and I believe 30 days after. It's just precautionary over blood clots - which is cool with me, since I have a family hx of clots anyway.

Kathy! CONGRATULATIONS on your approval. If it were me I would definitely be calling the office! At anyrate, Its just a matter of time now for the scheduling to get worked out and you will be on your way!!! Best of luck to you in your journey!! -Nan
