Approval Gods, Work Your Magic!

Hey everybody! I had my consultation appt today. It went great! They had all of my paperwork- everything they needed! Dr. Coster was very nice and says I am an excellent candidate for the surgery. They are going to submit the paperwork right away and then all I need to do is wait for those magic words! Not sure if I mentioned but Dr. Coster is out of network for me. That means I have had to stuff away a chunk of change to pay the 30% co-pay. Well, at my appt, he said they expect to finalize their contract with my ins co today! OH MY GOODNESS! WOWZA! I told him I would definitely wait for that to happen as it is a huge difference for me in cost! LOL! So maybe if I get approved and they get their contract completed, I will go shopping! No!! No!!! Bad, Nan! MUST PAY BILLS! LOL! So now the waiting game begins- I would type more but I have already written a book and it is hard to type with your fingers crossed! -Nan

Congratulations, Nan. Here's hoping the rest of the hoop jumping goes just as well. That's really cool about your insurance. You might want to hold off of the shopping. You'll be doing a lot of that later when the pounds are falling off. Dixie

Hi Nan I wish you the best of luck. DR. Coster did my surgery om May 27th and I was high risk but he took care of me well. I ended up with a leak 2 days later he was quick to get that taken care of and he is such a sweet heart. I have lost 63 pounds so far if I could exercise somewhat I know I would lose quicker. I have a daughter she will be 7 this month and yes I was so scared to have the surgery but I wanted to be here for her.My husband was scared also and I read your profile where you said your hubby is scared for you but he supports you just like mine did. sometimes when I would break down and cry because I would get scared the closer my surgery got my husband would stay strong and he would say keep the faith. He would stay so strong for me. So I say the same to you its better to do it now then to keep putting it off like I did for 3 more years until I ended up with so many medical problems. I wish you the best if you like I can visit you when you have your surgery in Grinnell and update on how your doing. J ust let me know you can e-mail me if you like. take care.
