ANOTHER JANELLE WHITE UPDATE

Hi all, I talked to Janelle's hubby earlier today, and he said that they moved Janelle to ICU. They tried to do her surgery lapiscopic, but it was too hard to find anything, so they opened her up. From what I understood, the rouxen y went great, but, the part of the intestine ended up with a hernia about the size of an egg and was weak, AND part of another intestine around the lower abdomen was smashed and that part wasn't funtioning. I haven't gone to see her yet, but he told me she may be in there for about 5 more days. I will keep digging for more info. Tracie, if you hear anything please let me know. Also, correct me if I made any mistakes on this post. Please keep praying for her! Thanks!

Alright, Betty, set me straight here, keeping in mind that I was AWOL this summer. Janelle had the RNY done and then was still having issues - throwing up and that, right? (I have read Some of the past posts, but not all.) Then they just went in to look at her bowel? So, were there problems with the bowels before RNY or is this a complication of the surgery? When did she have the RNY? Please let her know that she remains in my prayers. God bless, Andrea

Hi Andrea, From what I was told, the surgery went awesome. It sounds like a problem prior to her surgery. She had a hysterectomy a while back, and they believe that part of her intestines moved into that cavity crushing a section of her intestines. Anyone please correct me if they know the exact situation. I was being told this via cellphone and it was hard to hear her hubby since he was at work. As for the hernia, this supposedly happened AFTER the surgery. I will call tonight and find out everything. Tracie, have you heard anything? Betty
