For me......I opened all my windows this am and turned of the A/C ....man that thing has been running 24/7 and I am dreading that bill! So I am so welcoming this slight cool down! Bummer thing is with this heat we can't even enjoy the pool (we have one in our backyard, one of those 3ft'ers inflatable thingys) or go to the public pool.....since Madi had those stiches.....the doc said swimming until they come out on Friday.....and it isn't fair for her to sit and watch her sisters and I swim....so we are all land bound until Friday!!!! I am happy to report that I ate very well yesterday Hoping to do the same today! I am a little bummed tho....I tryed making those no fuss protein/peanut butter cookies last night, the only thing I didn't have was vanilla extract...anyways I thought they were My kids and hubby ate them all with honey! This week wraps up a lot of our summer activities, so it should slow down from here on out....that'll be nice! Just getting the house ready for me to be out of commission for a couple days as my plastics is almost here! Stocking the fridge and freezer with easy meals for hubby, getting laundry done and everything clean. So thats my week in a nutshell!!!!! What are you all up too?? Hope everyones staying out of trouble! Take Care and have a good week! jesi

Hi Jesi My dad is bringing a truck load of Sweet corn in to share with his group in Rotary. Then if he has any extra he's bringing me some to pass along with my friends. I am hoping to have my Tummy tuck done this fall. Had to get an attorney to get my insurance and SSI back. So, I'm hoping for mine this fall. I watched my nieces yesterday. One is 4 and the other one just turned 2. The 2 year old wouldn't let me leave. She says and cries, "Lisa, no go." She is learning to potty train. The doctor says she is a head of her age group right now, and she really wants to go potty in the big potty. So, we have her own little potty out, and everytime I see her go in the corner, I tell her "it's time to go, right? And she runs to the bathroom. But too late. My mentor from Grinnell support group passed away a week ago. She was only 54. (Liz Woolums) I heard she had a kink in her colon, and had surgery, then got an infection of some kind. I didn't go to my support group meeting on Saturday, because there are days that I don't feel welcome, or my depression really kicks in. But the doctor put me on Prozac, so hopefully I'll be able to do more. I love this weather. It's a little too cold though. This is the first time in a year or more I can say it's too cold. Well, enough talking. Hope everybody has a great week. Take Care Love Lisa Young 125 pounds down

I had to respond because I have a "college" weekend planned. OK- this midwest down to earth country music lovin mother of two is going to a DEF LEOPARD concert on Sunday. Oh- wait there is more- not only going to the concert but going with 6 other women and staying overnight to party like college days and then taking Monday off to boot! I feel like I am 20- ok for 24 hours anyway! LOL! -Nan

Hey! Had big plans for this Thursday but I think they have gone by the wayside. Not sure if anyone knows about this...will only be important to you if you are a NASCAR fan. The Kyle Petty Charity Ride for Victory Junction Gang is coming to Spirit Lake on Thursday. They are stopping at Polaris to pick up a check for $25K. Kyle loves to ride the Victory motorcycle....From what I have found out there could be other NASCAR drivers there as well who are on the ride. In the past Jeff Gordon has been on it...and i know for sure Tony Stewart was going to ride 2 or 3 days. My son and I are both HUGE NASCAR fans. He is a Gordon fanatic. I think if he ever met him....he would probably wet himself...lol. Since my car has bit the dust for the time being...I was planning on going with a friend of mine who is also a NASCAR fan but a relative died over the weekend and of course the funeral is Thursday...so unless I can steal a car...we wont be going.....Unless I can talk my dad out of his truck. Kyle is one of my favorite drivers....just because he never does that well....i and always try to root for the underdog! Other than that....another Pampered Chef show on Thursday night...and getting ready for that...taking dad to his chemo and drs appts. Spending time with the kids and stuff. Billie Jo

Hey Jesi I too have the a/c off and windows open. However, I must agree with Lisa and say it is a little chilly. (slept in sweats with socks last night ) But I do LOVE it..... I worked Sun and Mon night, had 6 mon check up Tuesday (more on that in another post), spent Wednesday at 'the ranch', (my mom and dads) enjoying the great outdoors. Wed night we had our 'sibling supper'. My bros's and sis and their families all get together (we try for once a month) and have supper. Sometimes at each others house, sometimes we go out. Tonight we went to Famous Daves. Very tasty..... I work the rest of the week. Such a boring existence.... hugs, positive thoughts, and prayers towards your plastics. Aug 4th?? Sheila
