Shelli update
Congrats to Shelli.....and thanks for the update Dixie! I too remember my first sips for the leak test.....i was so thirsty and so scared I took just an itty bitty sip.....and the radiologist guy was like "you need to take a big enough drink so I can see it" I was so scared I actually was SO thirsty I didn't even mind the taste....I was just to scared to do anything more than itty bitty sips!!! Memories.... Take Care and let her knwo we are thinking about her Jesi
Shelli & I had a very nice visit this afternoon. She is doing & looking wonderfully. Had her leak test this morning & a portion of the pouch isn't working as well as they hoped but she is cleared to start drinking fluids. When I was there she was working on her couple ounces she was allowed an hour. She also had been up walking. She was a bit tired, kept falling asleep & then apologizing when she awoke. I told her I understood as I remember what it was like.
Since Shelli has to stay in the Cedar Falls area until her 1 week appointment, and since her parents are bringing her daughter in a few days, it looks like they will be coming out to our place so her daughter can visit the farm & see the calves. I told Shelli that if she wasn't up to being on her feet(and I know I wasn't at that point), we'd park her in the recliner & I'd let her use my laptop so she could let everyone know how she was doing so watch for her post in a few days.
