Getting Started

Hello IA WLS friends- I have been reading posts for some time as I researched the option of WLS. I recently made a decision to take the plunge after nearly 3 years of thinking about WLS and researching it. So here I am, I now have a consultation appt scheduled for August 8th with the Dr that I hope will be my WLS surgeon. So I am excited and nervous and about 50 more emotions that I bet you have all expereinced. Anyway, one of the things I want to do is to chronical my journey in my profile. However, I seriously can not figure out how to add updates to my profile. Can someone help me out? Thanks!! - Nan

Welcome Nan, glad you came out from lurking. You can update you profile by clicking on your profile at the top of the page. Next enter your password and then scroll down on the right side till you see under the scale update your profile. click on it and then scroll down past your name and other imfo till you see a big square and that is where you post at. Thanks all for the help and the well wishes. My consultation is with Dr. Coster in Grinnell. My PCP highly recommends him and I have read all of the evaluations on this site from people who had him as their surgeon. I think I have reached the point of excitement, hoping not to have insurance hurdles as I have been talking with my ins co and they make it sound easy since my BMI is above 40 and I just got sleep study results that show I have sleep apnea. So- now I am crossing my fingers for a smooth ride through the approval process- is that too optimistic?? We'll see.
