Things are moving along..... I did the second sleep study with the CPAP machine even though I still don't have any signs of sleep apnea. If they say I have it, guess I can't argue. I did manage to get a cold though so this deep breathing isn't all it's cracked up to be. I still have to get the results and then rent the CPAP machine etc. Tomorrow I go to Sartori for the bloodwork, chest x-ray, abdomen ultrasound and EKG and then I should get a date. I'll be so happy to have all this testing over with. Leslie

Leslie, I'm so glad they were able to get you in for the second study so quickly. Sounds like everything is progressing quickly. Before you know it, you'll be having your surgery. Then you can return the CPAP and go back to getting a good night's sleep, like I did! Dixie

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone!! The tests went smoothly and all four were done in less than an hour. Of course I still have to wait for the CPAP stuff. Have any of your had problems with your PCP not liking having to make appointments and faxing stuff to the surgeon? My PCP's nurse said they have been doing a lot of work without getting paid for it. I reminded her that my PCP recommended Dr. G and his program and told me that he would do whatever he could to help. How soon they forget!!! Anyway...I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Leslie

I didn't have that problem with my PCP, HOWEVER, they now charge a $10 fee for filling out FMLA ppwk, STD ppwk or anything else that is not standard...which I think is a crock!!!! Apparently they were getting too many requests. I still think it's a rip off. Your PCP is there for you. They should do whatever is necessary...that should go without saying. And not getting paid for it?!? Wow. I'll be thinking about you and hoping that all your ppwk gets there soon!!!! Hugs, Jen
